Abstract:	This study aimed at identifying the current competency of the studied college students viewed by industry and the competency required by industry. The study also aimed at identi-fying the current situation quality of higher education and training program viewed from in-dustrial prospect. The results are for the developing reference of the college and related in-stitutions. Specific objectives of this study are: 1. Identifying the current competency of the students themselves viewed by industry. 2. Identifying the competency required by industry. 3. Identifying which competency was considered as most important by industry. 4. Identifying the current situation quality of higher education and training program viewed from industrial prospect. The study applied questionnaire survey followed an intensive literature study. The in-strument was administered to 30 randomly selected enterprises which had ever hired the col-lege graduates in southern Vietnam. The results show that all criteria for recruitment needs are at the highest average num-bers. These numbers show that the recruitment needs of enterprises not only stop at human resources having high achievement in university but they also want students being able to satisfy soft skills in their work. It also shows that industries are willing to sign a recruit-ment contract with university having international standard. A system having international standard which Nguyen Tat Thanh Colleges are building and developing will satisfy a part of increasing recruitment needs of enterprises nowadays.
