Abstract:	「科學怪人」與「時空機器」乃是發行於十九世紀兩本著名的科幻小說，書中內容闡述當時社會，對未來科技發展所存有的想像與疑慮，雖然書中描述與現今科技發有所不同，然而其中所隱含的警世作用，可適用目前資訊科技掛帥的社會。科技與文明息息相關，在人類汲汲發展新科技的同時，人類文明是何走向？本文藉此兩書探討科技與人類文明的相互關係。
