    Abstract: 荖葉屬胡椒科(Piperaceae)植物,平時常做為食用檳榔的配料,在中藥則有健胃、去痰及鎮痛等功效,其活性化合物具有抑菌、抗氧化和抗癌作用。發現荖葉莖含有一種化合物萎葉醇(chavibetol),具有抑制小鼠B16F10黑色素瘤細胞生成黑色素的活性。因此,本研究目的旨在探討chavibetol抑制黑色素生成之調控機制,研究過程採用方法,細胞存活率(MTT)、胞內酪胺酸酶活性與免疫染色法等。結果顯示,chavibetol之細胞毒性非常低,且可降低黑色素含量,在蛋白表現方面,發現MC1R、MITF、p‐CREB、tyrosinase、TRP‐1及 Dct 等黑色素生成路徑的相關蛋白質含量,隨著chavibetol 濃度增加而下降。綜合客觀結果荖葉莖化合物萎葉醇確實具有開發成為化妝品添加劑的應用潛力。
