Background. A lack of physical activity is common in older adults. With the increasing senior population, identifying the minimum amount of physical activity required to maintain the skeletal muscle mass and sarcopenia is essential.
Aim. This study was to assess the amount of physical activity, using the Chinese version of Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly questionnaire (PASE-C) scores, and determined whether relationships existed between PASE-C and sarcopenia or other health parameters in older adults in daycare centers.
