Based upon the theories of IS innovation and IT assimilation as well as prior literature,this studydevelopeda nomological modelto investigate the causal relationships among the related antecedents as well as the impacts of technovation managementcapability and IT leadership effectiveness on innovative IT assimilation in e-businesses. A large-scale field survey is planning to beconductedinthis study. Global logistic e-business (EB)enterprises in Taiwan and China were selected as a representative sample in this study. Using the partial least square (PLS) method, the researchers meticulously verifiedthe causal relationships among technovation managementcapability, IT leadership effectiveness and innovative IT assimilationin EB firms. In addition, the effects of the proposed antecedents, entrepreneurial alertness, organizational technology and business competences of EBon technovation managementcapability and IT leadership effectiveness in e-businesseswerealso validated. The results of this study are expected to proffertheoretical and practical implications to helpmodern EBenterprises align, synchronize and integrate innovative IT with e-business processes and strategic business structures, thus ensuring better execution, risk control and profitability.
